Is 3 to 4 winters good in your environment?

What about Griot's lifetime warranty? Should cover the polisher.

    What about the Griot's G9?

3-4 winters is good just about anywhere. I only get 2-3 out of mine here.

I think that requires a receipt and I lost that years ago. Think I bought this on Autogeek 10 years ago. I'll eventually get a replacement backing pad. I honestly need something quick and the new Bauer long throw DA is supposed to be really good. Says my local HF has one in-stock so we'll see. Gotta make a trip into town tomorrow anyways. Was gonna get it today, but no sense in wasting gas for additional trips nowadays. The Griot's G9 is outta budget for my occasional use.

Edit: Just looked, warranty doesn't cover such things as the backing plate as it falls under use. It's petty dry rotten at this point. My first sign shoulda been the bubbling in the velcro. Appears it was delaminating.

Oh yea, almost forgot. I did get the roof done.

    Before

After. Paint is still bubbly and chippy, but now shiny.

It's worth a call to see what Griots can do for you. Even the trade in program with the old polisher plus money for the G9.

I've been eyeing the Maxshine long throw polishers.

No waxing or buffing yet. Just letting the factory shine hold out for a bit longer. CC1B714E-9679-4ED3-B6B7-4ED45A70C9D7.jpg

Thanks Pat! For what it is I agree. The roof is the original 26 year old single stage. The compounds I used were what I usually use.The pearl white is an unknown variable. It's base/clear so my plan of attack is unknown.

Here's another fun one for you all. I got a quick interior clip of the startup. Doesn't seem to sound as loud as it really is, but you get the idea.

The tires aren't worn out, but the sticky Winter compound siped section is worn down pretty far. I do 16 - 18K miles a year; 3-4 Winters is roughly 25-35K miles of wear on the Winter set.

@Tacoma Mike question for you. Trying to tune my 1500cc midget engine. It's got the factory zenith stromberg carb, which I know I should huck in a dumpster but I'm not ready to drop 800 on the Weber DOE side draft. The problem is it won't rev past 3k without breaking up and being generally unhappy. I just ordered a new ignition coil (the correct one since the one in there if for external ballast which I don't have) but is there anything else you can think of? Timing has been set with a timing light. New vacuum advance for the distributor. The distributor is the D25 instead of the factory D45 which from what I gather is a popular upgrade/swap.

Yea it's definitely a work in progress. Kinda scratching my head on the rev hang, either idle control valve or something like it. Does make for easy downshifts though. :D

The oil burning situation is definitely getting better with more running. However the oil leaks are getting more prominent. Even the new cam seals are leaking. I can't friggin' win!

That engine light is probably a permanent staple with a hollowed out catalytic. No idea what I want to do with this as I may have found another cheap Subaru. My house is going to look like a used car lot... :spy:
