    Two things.
    One
    disconnect the vac advance.
Do your run up rev test.
If it seems ok, bring the timing light out and for a test set the timing at 36° at like 2500 or 3 grand.
    Keep the vac disconnected.

    two

if the dist thing don’t work, take a piece of duct tape and cover the carb intake like 1/3.
If it seems to help you know what you need.
But the disconnecting the vac to start is the easiest

double check the cap and rotor fit ..... no cracks etc
    On Edit

did you do a points elimination ?

Not sure how Chrysler applied pearls back then, but Toyota pearls like 089 Blizzard Pearl are a white primer/base mica/clear coat....3 stage wet on wet on wet application

This car was originally just plain white, but at some point was painted. It's got some spiderweb cracking here and there and is chipped, but atleast I can make it shiny! Thought about painting it a cement color, but at this point I'm way too deep in it financially I'd never get out of it then...

Love cement colors. But you're right. I'd focus on the mechanics and just do what you can with the aesthetics. She's a driver

I only mentione M1 because their 5/30 formula is damn near a light 40. Scores an 11.9 at 100°C. But Valoline is just fine. I have synthetic Maxlife in the daughter's Yaris right now.

Personally, if not the M1 I would consider regular Maxlife because you can get that in a 10/40. It's a blend....but is robust across the board.

    Both might help the leaks
