I have a friend who has a coworker who just picked up a new Lexus RC350 F-Sport AWD. Apparently this guy regretted not getting the factory painted calipers. My friend told him that he and I could paint them for him. Another friend made the decals. 6 hours later....boom.

A lot of work. But its looks great.

Yup, now this SR5 has legit recovery points on both ends, without needing to replace bumpers. Oddly enough thats come in handy with this truck already on a couple of occasions.

Rosie (named after the B17 Rosies Riveters, my grandfather was the Crew Chief) was my father’s truck. He passed away two years ago from extremely aggressive leukemia. The truck is one of only a couple of things I have of his. She has been on three continents. North America, Europe, and 6 weeks in Africa. I hope to keep her until she goes no more. I wash her at least once a month, with wax every 4 months.

I’m going to be writing Toyota USA about the frame rust. She doesn’t have any holes, but she has a lot of “medium” rust all over the frame, lower control arms, and a few other bits.

Yup, there’s my grandpa. The big guy on the left. I’m told I favor him a lot. His nickname was Red and he was called the largest airman in the corps. (6’4”, 250lbs).

Yep. We're doing great.

We drove to a beach today and then stopped and had a light lunch. We then rented a kayak for a couple hours.

We try to make Tuesday our day trip day.
