Metal vs Plastic?

 

I'm guessing plastic or fiberglass.

The fender flares were painted the body color while it was at the shop but they were the same color as the bumper cover.

By the pic the spare tire cover matches the bumper cover.

Hmmm, looks like I was the butt of a couple jokes yesterday...

There's an old Chevy C10 that Autox's some times in our area. Has a blown big block. Absolute handful and really can't ever "stretch it's legs" on these tight courses. The guy has a blast running it though....and that's all that matters.

He had too slam that thing to get it under the max height requirement.

That does look like a respray. That said....it's nearly impossible to get an exact match between 2 different panels of different materials. The plastic bumper cover and sheet metal have slightly different component makeup to properly adhere to the different surfaces. And even though the color formula itself is almost identical...there's simply no way that a plastic peice and a metal peice, painted separately with 2 slightly different formulas will ever be a 100% match.

Toyota likes to keep the color difference between the two at less than 20%. Some colors....darker ones and ones with a high mica makeup tend to be the ones that are the most noticeable.
