    Nope. Optical illusion. Don't make me take a picture of the level!

    Ran a bead of silicone around where the post and concrete touch. 4 inches of gravel under the posts and zero contact with any soil. These should last many, many years.

    My hardware at the top, what came with it it on the bottom. :D

    Could you use the pickard fence post or the tree and 1 of the new post?

    It's got some taper to it down near the fence. But overall it fairly flat

    I suppose. But eventually I'm going to have those Bradfords removed. Plus I think having the hammock floating out in the middle looks cool......I hope anyway. We shall see

    Cut about 10" off the right one. Shot a laser and took off 18" on the left to compensate for the yard. Through on some Cabot black stain. Give it a couple of hours then some finishing touches.

    And I can assure you they are 100% straight and sqaure, despite what it may look like in the picture. Do it right or don't bother. :thumbsup:

    I have 2 trees but they are too far apart to hang a hammock from. I believe they are about 25 feet apart.

    I'm thinking one end to the tree, while the other is connected to a pole.

    Done. Going to let the concrete cure for a couple of days before we actually use it....even though it's fast setting.

    20210522_182217.jpg

    I replaced the screw in eyelets with some 8" eyebolts that go all the way through the post. I also bought some stainless steel snap rings....rated for 900 pounds each. Topped the posts off with some solar powered LED caps.

    @Sig45

    I have an 8" rise in the 15' between the posts. Made it a little tricky. But my newly acquired laser level made it possible for a knuckle dragger like myself to get it right.

    Measure 27 times.....cut once. :D
