    Evenin' stockers!

Still tinkering with the Talon. Why, I have no idea

Got the fuel filter changed finally. That wasn't as bad as I've been lead to believe. I did get a 14mm line wrench so that made it easier and no stripping the fitting. Had to remove the battery and tray to access it so I repaired some wiring in the area and quickly painted the battery tray with some Rustoleum Industrial black. No idea why I did that, but I did, lol. Also sanded down and painted the rear wiper. All you get is the before as the after picture has the for sale sign on it with my phone number. I wouldn't mind Bill texting me, but there's no telling what Kevin would send me

Got the rear "wing" sanded down nice and smooth with some 320 grit. Ready to paint tomorrow. Could have done it today, but didn't feel like taping off everything and moving the Camry and Tacoma outta the garage. That will be on tomorrow's agenda... Also need to pull all the wheels and re-undercoat the wheel wells. Even though I'm selling the car it's an OCD thing for me. Can't stand the old chipping stuff. I gotta adjust the rear parking brake shoes anyways.

You're going way further into this thing than I ever would've. Especially after making the decision to sell.

Yea I don't know why I'm doing all this either. It is keeping me entertained though. I kinda just like the transformation of something really beat into something decent. My screwed up philosophy is if it looks really good maybe someone won't have a problem with my asking price.

If I can't sell it this Summer/Fall then the engine/trans is coming out this Winter for a rebuild along with the suspension. While doing so the car would get torn apart for bodywork and a repaint. Would make a cool autocross car. Only hick-up is the place I'm in now is a rental. While the owner doesn't care what I do at all, I'd hate to have the car in 500 pieces for them to decide to sell it off in this market. I'd have to move or buy it. Damn adulting sucks...

I'm acutely aware of that feeling. I'm kinda rooting for it not to sell just to see the project happen.

Only if you return the favor with the turbo taco! It'll be about that much too, for the head work...

Well you got me going down the rabbit hole that is the internet. Apparently a 2.4L out of a Stratus or PT Cruiser will bolt right in with minimal wiring if I use my 2.0L head. Those engines are more common and a little bit cheaper than my 420A. I'm not really interested in forced induction and it would be a nice small bump in power. Crap, here we go...

Except swapping in a SRT4 motor is an absolute wiring nightmare, and I don't think will clear the hood. I also don't have the suspension/tire for 200+ HP, this would be a budget build and that would totally blow it...
