Eh, rushed home early from work when my better half's roommate called, telling me my gf's 14 y/o miniature schnauzer was limping and whimpering. The roommate was just about to leave for a flight and couldn't take him to the vet, and my gf is in Idaho until tomorrow. So I just finished up at the vet and paid $180 to find out her dog slept wrong and gets to take muscle relaxers for today and tomorrow. If somebody said that dog is "relaxed" right now it would be a gross understatement...

Camry got some attention today. Got a wash, quick detailer, and the windows cleaned.





Did some edging around the sidewalks later on and that's about it. Realized I hadn't taken the Talon out this weekend so mother decided she wanted to tag along in "Bumblebee" as she and Grandma refer to it To my amazement she was like "this isn't bad at all". She actually kinda liked the pops and bangs on decel, I was kinda laughing about that. The guy who originally offered me good money for it is trying to buy it again, but we'll see. At this point who knows, I might hang onto it. If I do I'll bring it in the garage this winter and tear it apart. I think if I get the P0171 figured out it'll run pretty mint. Fix the rockers and paint the car, redo the suspension, and I think I'd have a decent little "classic" to beat around the local car shows. Sounds crazy, I know. Registration is up in February so I might tag it as a "classic" to avoid inspections. Not sure what to do at this point...

 

Wait.... what?? When did you get a Camry?

 

We've had it since April 2015, bought it brand new. Only has 31K miles on it right now. I know you're thinking "well why in the Hell do you need a beater car!?" Honestly I'd rather put miles on something older and more beat than this. We plan on keeping the Camry for a good many years.

 

Could probably get good $$ for it with the used car market being what it is.

I was looking for a Matrix for a commuter car a while back. Not too many available.

 

Nah, its got a bad Carfax. Comes back as structural damage. Back several years ago it was involved in a rear end collision and the entire trunk pan had to be replaced. They classified that as structural damage...
