It's easy. It's always 4 over from either direction.

Pull the wire once it's in check mode. It will remain in check mode until you cycle the key off.

And that non stranded wire you're using is best

    :fistbump:

Figured stranded wire would just bunch up. Found a scrap piece in the trash can at HD (in the electrical dept).

From the various videos I've seen, it seems about 10 minutes of idling is about average for the temp to rise to the correct reading?

Wire is too thick (14G). Won't fit/stay in the ports.

Just shave it down or use stranded wire

I was able to hold it while starting/shifting from P-N-D...etc. Didn't saw the AT light illuminate.

    Dash lit up as expected.

It all depends. I once did a DAF when it was 15° out....though I was in the garage. Took 45 minutes to reach temp

    What type of connector?

I've whittled and it still won't fit it and stay.

Dude, I know you're on top of maintenance, but damn dude that's a little bit too much. 15° is way too damn cold, even in the garage. You're way too dedicated o_O

Says the guy that keeps fixing up a total rusty POS....

    Got er' all cleaned up!

However, it's still a fail.

Had a weird slight hesitation at 2500RPM's. Still took it on an extended drive. Came home and pulled the codes and low and behold a P1294. Sure enough spraying brake cleaner around the throttle body gasket area it bubbles up a little bit and idles ever so slightly different. I noticed the mating surfaces were slightly scarred up from previous work, worst of it on the TB itself. Used some high-tack to hold the gasket on there, but apparently wasn't enough to seal the imperfections. Now I know why there was some mysterious goop all over this thing. As much as I hate to do it I'll have to grab another gasket and some good gasket maker. I bet with just the little bit of high-tack on there the gasket ain't coming off clean... :annoyed:

I just took blade connectors and used the grinder on them for someone.
    I have a computer so I don’t need a jumper.

    on edit.
Smash the friggin wire end and flatten it out and form a connector end..

    on edit, edit..

be real careful with that connector.
If you distort those connectors a techstream will have a friggin fit trying to communicate.

Thanks. I can pick up a couple of those 16G pin terminals. Wish there was still a Radio Shack nearby, I bet they'd have em.
