Whoa whoa whoa.... you're all in on this. I fully expect you to make sure the faux grain lines in the plugs align with the grain on the decking.

I know you can muster up that kind of ocd.

Deck takes a lot of sun. Modern pressure treated lumber hasn't been the same since the EPA banned arsenic as an ingredient a few years back. Even with proper staining she just doesn't look good these days

I'll probably skip the spacer/plug kit. This ol' deck isn't a perfect work of art.

You mean is that what it is or an option to the composite?

Ceder is a good alternative to synthetic. Natural insect repellent properties.

I know, I know. Wrechers standards are a little weaker than wood workers.

I'll see what the lumber yards have. But the wife wants composite. So there's that. :notsure:

Fortunately, in Kentucky, liquor stores are considered essential.

Of course. Too much tax revenue generated by gas and booze. Those places will alway be "essential"

Help me.. I keep spending money on my bike! Im running out of shit to buy for it.:rofl:Im about to start replacing windows and stripping and residing my house so that’ll keep me busy, and isolated, for a couple months.
I’m an ‘essential worker’ (cant just abandon a 1400psi, 200 mile long gas pipeline..) and had to drive a couple hundred miles today. I’ve never seen so many out of state plates. My coworker lives at the base of Mt Washington and said it was like Memorial Day Wknd last weekend. A million tourists. Apparently when you’re ordered to stay home you just bring your bs elsewhere. o_O

I have all the horizontals demo'd. Got a guy picking up the "free used deck boards"....supposedly. He's not here yet though.

Ran into a bit of an issue with the stairs. Got some water damage on one side...not seen until I removed the treads.

So a trip to Lowes for some some treated lumber in the morning. Then rebuild the stair's frame work. Water seal all the joist and posts tops. Then start "decking"
