What's the difference between a transmitter and meter? Is transmitter just a meter that send the reading somewhere so it doesn't have to be read on site?

Sorry for the random questions, I work IT in the energy sector so I see the fluke devices come in occasionally or their associated laptops for updates. Never really get a chance to see how they're used though.

 

Correct, transmitter reads the pipe pressure and sends it through the RTU to the gas controllers. Our meters have to be plugged into on site to receive the data

I highly recommend both of those. King and Bartlett is a great area for bird hunting...

 

I know the owner (maybe former now as think it was for sale, but don't know if it was sold). A mutual friend guided bird hunters 2 weeks each October. Curious to see if it's gated/accessable.
