Had a bit of an interesting moment tonight on the drive home. Passed a cop who had somebody pulled over on the side of the road, and I was doing 10 under and moved over as you should. He whipped out behind me and pulled me over, for loud exhaust which I nearly laughed at. I was turning 1700 rpm going past him which is as quiet as this truck gets. He checks my paperwork, advises me to fix my "broken" exhaust, and heads off. He somehow completely missed the very much expired NJ inspection sticker....

Night time makes all sounds seem louder.
I use to drive by with the clutch in when that would happen to me..

 

It's the first I've had any issue with it. I've actually had cops at gas stations tell me they like the way it sounds. I'll have to start clutching it from now on though, that's a good idea.

All my New England brothers and sisters.....it's been seriously huffing and puffing up there. You folks all ok?

 

Yeah I got a kick out of when roughly 5 years ago, my employer tasked me with putting stickers on switchgear stating what level of arc flash PPE's required to work inside gear. If a mechanic needs a sticker to tell them what equipment to wear, they probably should not be in the trade. But I understand the liability standpoint....
