Oh you didn't see? I parked it after driving it for a month. Unsurprisingly the knock got worse. Bought a house, then topped it off and bought a '21 Tundra. Taco sits in the shed waiting for her day to come.9B3D0F94-DF57-49C0-ACCD-837DD42B671A.jpg 8B4FB1DD-2462-4E5E-9678-F0C4EDCE2BFC.jpg

I must have missed that! Havent been on here as much as i'd like lately. That is a nice upgrade though! Do those tundys come with the 5.7 or is the 4.6 still an option? Hopefully you havent given up on your turbo build. I am looking forward to seeing that come around

What did you go with? I've been researching multi process machines, never welded before but want to start.

Went with the Eastwood MIG 140

    https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-140-amp-mig-welder.html

It's just a 120v unit to do sheet metal and thinner metal. Final cost with PA sales tax was $387, free shipping. Luckily their headquarters is about 2.5 hours away. Looks like they have a nice selection of automotive refinishing stuff so that'll come in handy. Not the best stuff in the world, but for this car it'll be great.

The big 5.7 in this one. I think the 4.6 is still available though. 380 ish hp and 9k towing capacity, so it definitely does what I need. And yes the snail build is still coming, but with the financial setbacks it may be some time. I laugh that my tow rig is probably going to be nearly as fast as my race truck.

Luckily I'm at a point in my career I won't have to do that. Do a couple extra hours O.T. and it's all paid off again plus some.:D

Oddly enough my mother wants me to get this project going. She wants to drive it and "terrorize the town" with the loud exhaust  Same woman who did several peel-outs in my GTI.

She'd like the tundra then. It took a mustang by surprise today.

Oh Hell no, a 4 cylinder Camry is power enough for her. Even the 3.5L in my current Tacoma has a little bit more zip than she needs. Already got in trouble with the 4.0L in my last Tacoma

The Talon sounds fast, but all that shifting and you're only doing 45
