How's Maine looking this morning?

 

Pretty quiet with all that's going on. Had a spring snow storm Thursday (18" in the mountains) dump wet/heavy snow and it knocked out power to about 300K people. in southern Maine, I only got a couple inches. As of this morning, still about 100K w/out power.

 

Dang. I remember a day or 2 back you were caught by the outage. I'm not sure if the virus makes it easier for power companies to get things switched on or not. More people at home reliant on it though - its unfortunate.

 

Between dense snows and ice storms you guys deal with this all winter long. I grew up in N MI, not as bad as MN, but common

 

It's hard for the power crews as they're only allowing 1 person per vehicle...social distancing rules.

 

Yeah, and with power out over such an area resources are spread thin. 24-36 hours is the longest I've experienced, thankfully

 

To make matters worse...the power company rented something like 500 pickup truck to accommodate that. They are all plain all white and have plates from Mass.

Locals are assuming they're people from "away" fleeing the virus hotspots. There have been incidents of harassment.
