My last drive in my 2021 Tacoma before I dropped it off at the dealer. A 2022 Off Road Pro will be coming in the new year.

I really liked my truck, but at the time I bought mine ( long story), they had the one I bought on the lot, and had no idea when a Pro might arrive, so I bought the one they had.

When I took it in for the first service, they offered my a lot more than my original cost on a trade-in for the 2022 Off Road Pro. Then factor in I save an additional 3% on the sales tax ( The trade in saves me 15% when I only paid 12% on my trade-in) it was just too goof of a deal to pass on.
I do have to wait for the Pro to arrive, but I can wait.

 

Fantastic! Good to hear you're going to get the model you want. I ended up with my tundra because it was literally the only Toyota truck on the lot at the dealership.

Yeah, since I retired, I'm the guy the property manager calls to meet the electrician or plumber when they come to the condo complex to fix or repair something. It makes the work more enjoyable swapping stories about all the little crap jobs we've been called for or heard about. The best one I've heard was when the electrician that usually makes the calls here told me that the new guy was coming out to help us install new outdoor lamp posts. "He was a welder in the Coast Guard. You could ask him about his arc welding experience on a ship at dockside." I did not do that, since I've worked around around boats in AK, and could figure out what would happen when you'd clip a welder ground to a steel hull. There was a kid in town who'd been to HVAC school, and ran his seiner operation, telling me that he was getting shocked when he'd brush against the exhaust stack.
Our city built a new landfill out of town off the gravel highway, and installed a genset for emergency power at the new building. You probably guessed that the electric block heater for the diesel genset was plugged into the generator...
