I'm about ready to go Bill Murray on these mice... (caddy shack style) they got inbetween the floor of our living room and the ceiling of our downstairs guest room. And I swear they have a golf ball or something they're playing soccer with.

 

When I had a mouse problem a few years back, I just plastered the area with those sticky traps. Caught em all. I eventually found and plugged the hole they were using to gain entry. Haven't had any problems since. I found the entry location by accident. I have fiberglass (faced) batts in the area between the floor joist where they rest on the sill plate/foundation. I discovered that all the insulation had been removed from the paper facing on one and low and behold, there was a knot that had popped out of the sill plate....just enough for them to squeeze through from under the siding from the outside.

 

Snap traps and peanut butter.
If access is possible then put them in there.
Around the edges of walls ,closets etc.
Don’t use decon etc.
