Well this one is just coming off being pickled. So it’s running 3 times the oil at this moment.
Plus I didn’t have the oil i usually run and this shit smokes twice as much. Wasn’t available. Not going to throw it away so I’ll smoke more this year.

I'm trying to picture a tower of power on the back of that little fishing boat... that would be wild!

That's generally easy as long as there's no asbestos. Just get a pump sprayer and soak it good. Stuff will come off like frosting with a wide putty knife.

Returned home this afternoon from a four-day spring break trip driving Barcelona Red north to Sandpoint, ID and up the Clark Fork and Flathead River valleys to Kalispell, MT for the NHOU (spa?) treatment at Glacier Undercoating. I arrived at 4:30 Tuesday to deliver the truck for its appointment the next day, and Guy arrived home at 5:00. When I said that I'd removed the spare and stashed it in the bed he was pleased and said he'd direct me into the shop and lift, planning to shoot it that evening. The next morning, he called to let me know that he'd be home at 11:00, and I got lucky after breakfast to find the (only) small print listing of area Uber drivers on the staff bulletin board, so I was able to ride back to the shop as Guy had just parked it in the driveway. He explained that they plastic bag the exhaust system before spraying the New Hampshire Oil Undercoating food grade oil product(s?) so there's no odor of burning product to sift into the cab. Sweet!
Thursday morning, I drove down the east side of Flathead Lake past the cherry orchards, UM's Yellow Bay Research Station (attended summer 1976 classes with field work trips there), and continued south along the Bitterroot River to Dad and Mom's ranch at Victor. My youngest sister and sib (of 4, I'm the eldest) and I worked together after I arrived at 11, removing electric fencers, wire and posts, helping a neighbor move his three bulls just up the road to their new home, cleaning things up before the buyers arrive for a walkthrough next week, with closing the following day. This April 1st, the two of us walked the ground again, sprinkling some of Dad's and Mom's ashes in areas they'd appreciated over the past fifty years since Dad's retirement from the USAF.
It's spring! One era on that place comes to an end, and a new era begins, with buyers that sound (and we hope) will be good neighbors.

My sister commented that the new (right front) Weathertech mats look "pretty spiffy!" as I added that the left side now feels more appropriate. I may just leave the (dry) manure fragments to season the mat for a while longer... Close encounter with a yearling whitetail in Kalispell, talking it into turning around and not attempting to cross the busy road, and as I passed telling that mom to teach her twin yearlings well. Downy woodpeckers, with Canada geese and mallard pairs visiting the pond. Pippa the barn cat will be moving to a new home up the hill with my sister next week. Life goes on in the Big Sky Country!
Waiting for the Diaz Products trailer wiring bracket to arrive so I may wait until I install that and relocate the trailer connector to the front of the frame rail before winching the spare back up under the bed. There will always be projects, and work that needs doing... 20220331_162235[1].jpg 20220331_160355[1].jpg
