I'm nearing 800 a month for my gas bill with the tundra, the Yaris would be a nice change of price in fuel. And able to haul motorcycles/projects is a nice bonus.

I just love it when it’s 85°, no wind, no storms, and the power goes out just long enough to fuck up the electronics in the house.
Major north Easter, hi winds , 14” of snow. 100’s of thousands of homes no power. Not even s flicker..
    Grrrrrrrrr

I’m in bumper to bumper traffic every day. I commute 55 miles daily. I fill up every 5 days or so. Even driving it like a grandma, I’m getting 15.6mpg. I’m in a rental truck (F150 with an 8-cyl) and the same commute and driving style, it’s getting almost 18mpg. All my play money is gone to pay for gas and then some. Gas here is over $6 for cheap gas, nearing $7 at Chevron. It’s too much. If it wasn’t my daily, I wouldn’t care.

    So you see my point.

    Exactly my point.

Any chance of a carpool or one of those Enterprise share a ride lease deals? Like 5 or six people on dayshift here share a vehicle...some gov't program pays for it all; none of them pay out of pocket. We can't get enough people together for one on mid-shift, or we would. So Danny & I carpool. Don't know what I'll do when he retires end of July. Hopefully someone comes on board who lines up with me schedule and commute location-wise.
