When Dad asked if I wanted the Grumman Sportboat, I added the 1-1/4" frame hitch to the '07 Malibu for the single axle EZLoader trailer and 112 lb. boat. Thought about a small utility trailer but don't need it that much nor the additional registration and title. (Strap stuff on the canoe rack or boat trailer...)
54 degrees this morning! Feels like summer, and 14 more school days... :yay:

"Paddle faster! I hear banjo music!" (The now famous cliche' generated from the movie "Deliverance".)

In early 1981, I was told that whatever I hauled all my gear between seasonal fish biologist gigs in is considered a "truck." Across the state of Idaho (including western Montana, the eastern route between north and south Idaho) I was packing all my gear in a 1969 VW Squareback, upgraded from bias ply tires to 6.00-15 Michelin XZX radials. (Much taller than the new VW Rabbit's 13s OEM Michelins when I parked next to one at Twin Falls.)

That has been said betwixt my friends and I on many occasions when adventuring around rural Maine... then a song with banjos comes on and we floor it.

Yea driving the back roads north of Williamsport, PA to Victor, NY are uhm, definitely interesting. Also the state roads from say Binghamton, NY to Utica, NY are pretty out there. Also drove from Corning, NY to Buffo, NY and took mostly state routes. There's some uncle brother shit going on out that way...

That's one of the funniest things I've read in awhile  But I love Upstate NY landscape. Hate the politics aspect of NY. Stupid stupid laws.

Pen framed in. Hardware cloth was supposed to be delivered today but is currently MIA in NJ. Roof is two weeks out, was originally going to do fiberglass but decided to just do matching metal like the coop. Husband made a valid point with hail or falling branches, and gnawing predators.

My manager is out of Binghamton, eww. (we’re part of that pipeline system out there because we’re only partially owned and nobody wants us)

So at the time my coworker that was always with me made several of those trips. Now said co-worker is black. On one trip I stopped in some podunk ass place.

Him: "I'm just gonna sit in the van"

    Me: "You don't need anything?

Him: "Nah man, these people around here are gonna look at me funny and think I just got a bad sun tan"

    Me:
