What was that show about Maine.....kind of a reality, law enforcement type show on the History Channel....or some place like that. The interactions the police had with the town folk were......well.....interesting

The dude on there, Buuck, was a Coastie Reservist. He came in to do his once-per-month training at the station with us. Nice guy.

 

I thought the undercarriage wash (and wax?) was to be avoided once the corrosion proofing treatment is applied to one's frame.

 

I did see a robin nestled down into the bird bath last week for ten minutes before it started the bath. It must be hot here!

I think I met the reincarnation of Jack Tatum earlier this week... Jack makes his morning rounds at Red Sun Labyrinth, Victor, Montana, and like a number of NFL defensive players has no neck with broad shoulders, a big guy!

 

We've noted that in Unlimited Hydroplanes, and while I was putting together a Powerpoint with video clips from the Indianapolis 500 testing during the "year of the flying cars" for Cameron Aircraft while building a load testing composite structures with carbon fiber shells, that the well regarded drivers always credit their crews when they do well. Congratulations! It was great to see you get that credit, Mike, and more than just a background cameo!

 

And fly em! (apologies to the producers of the original "Top Gun" movie... The US Navy was smart enough to copyright/trademark register the "I feel the need, the need..." line so each time a naval aviator can't resist, they have to throw royalty money in the Navy's pot.) (Ray Parker, Jr. did the same with "Who ya gonna call?")

 

That line comes from the movie 'Deliverance' that starred Jon Voight and Burt Reynolds, filmed on the Chattooga River. That gave rise to the t-shirt for canoeists, "Paddle Faster, I Hear Banjo Music!" I've worked sound with a number of musicians in the 1905 church building, and we all agree, "Banjos and bagpipes do not need to be mic'd! It's hilarious when someone asks if the pipe organ can be turned down...
In Cordova, Alaska, my fellow shop steward and I enjoyed sharing our views of "Reno 911" since we'd both spent some time there, so we'd try to pick out landmarks.
