    happy Friday errybuddy.

Santana tonight. He passed out from heat exhaustion on stage couple o’ a nights ago. Thinking his pride may cause him to tear it up tonight. Tix are a gift from my Girlfriends daughter which was nice. I’m not one for big concerts anymore, but under the circumstances, I’m in.

motorcycle? Missed that you were so afflicted. Must be fun in your neck of the woods. That assumes you have time to ride, which it doesn’t sound like is the case.

Oh it's a horrible affliction. None of the bikes in my possession are newer than 83.

So mama and I have been chattin' a bit. I'm seriously thinking of selling my truck and snagging something like a Corolla Hatchback as a daily. The rig is still worth a fair bit at the moment. After talking to my buddy in the in the used car business....he said he's seen a little softening on truck values as fuel prices continue to be high. Indeed, I have seen the KBB amount change some in the last month. Might be time if I'm going to do it.

She has given me her blessing to find an older truck to tinker with. Decisions.

It is definitely the economical choice. There's no two ways about that.

Thanks. I just figured the difference in about 72 miles highway is 2 gallons for the 2007 Saab Echotec 2.2L (AT) Malibu to 3 gallons for the 2009 Taco 2.7L-5MT. It's worth the extra gallon for the exercise and "stay awake" ride on longer trips. The former is pushing 131K miles and the Taco recently passed 24k. (The Tacoma is definitely the better choice to replace the ICE with a MFD drive unit when available. Infernal Combustion Engine => Magnetic Field Disruption drive, erroneously called "anti-gravity drive." A Lockheed aeronautical engineer was awarded a patent in 1995 for this. Neodymium magnets with stainless steel hardware holding them together...) Next month's travels: Deschutes Brewing and other locations across the Northwest, where hops and wheat and barley grow. Good start for a song...

St. Maries, Idaho fly-in (drive-in or walk-in is OK, too) breakfast tomorrow... Darn, it's tech training at 1st Pres 8-2 so I'll just be driving downtown, and installing a grey HDPE tailgate insert from Trail Gear. Last Saturday of the month May-September is EAA Chapter 757's huckleberry pancake breakfast at 65S Boundary County Airport so just maybe I'll be able to get there...
Hey, it's Friday! Have a Super (Stormtrooper?) Saturday-Sunday! (And a Magic Monday, hoping to hear coworkers turned from zeros to heroes.)

Not sure. I'm open to all possibilities. This would be something to tinker with and wrench on but still be able to make the occasional Home Depot run
