Mom, Dad, ad I reminisced about his growing several banana plants in the backyard in Kailua (Oahu, HI) when we lived there 1965-1968. Alex the Samoan gardener and his dad lived in the neighborhood, and all us kids were terrified of his dad, who'd sit outside. Alex's feet were nearly square (barefoot alla time, brah') and he eventually became curious about that rarity, a haole gardener. That prompted him into stopping by and talking with Dad, offering advice as the banana plants grew, including getting rid of de male plants, and after harvesting the hands of bananas from the female plant, you cut 'em down and let the keikis (children) grow.

 

What! They get diagnostic technician pay for washing cars? Parker (Pah-kah in Hawaiian pidgin) Toyota gives me a coupon for a free wash at Hippo Car Wash across the street (Red Wash doesn't do the undercarriage) and they'll give you a car freshener and hand you a damp microfiber cloth for the interior while the carrier pulls you through the wash. I'm not sure about Pina Colada air freshener for a Taco...

Had a guy offer some cash + a modified rig. Not what I'm interested in. Several inquiries and a couple of "offers". But I've had to polite decline.

The new ride has been delayed a couple of weeks. So I will leave it up here until then.

But I'm NOT putting in on Craigslist or Facebook Market Place. I would rather chew my own balls off than to deal with that.
