    Afternoon people of the stock.
Heard a noise outside I’ve never heard before.
    And the ground was shaking.
Opened the door and two Osprey’s went by at about 3000 feet.
Never seen one or heard one.
    Now I have..
    The rotor pulse was unbelievable.

Those don't "fly"... they pound the air into submission. College buddy was a squadron commander (USMC) many years back.

There was one at Brunswick doing touch and goes during our last autocross. It was really cool to watch!

It wasn't too bad, but they never left "hover" mode. So I don't think we got the true experience.

Try living in the state with Fort Campbell and the 101 Airborne Division/Screaming Eagles. If it has rotors I have seen it, heard it and felt it.

When bush was president they took over the airport here. Had people walking through the woods on many occasions. Those marine helicopters were big over the house.

I agree. I visited a flight of four from HMX-1 since they RON'd here on their way home from the west coast and one of the pilots suggested the stop to visit parents in Hayden, Idaho. I parked at the transient ramp, walked over and asked the senior man of the maintenance crowd, "Who keeps the aircraft clean?" Pulling a microfiber cloth (I think it was probably not just a rag) out, he said, "We all do." Since all were painted that gloss dark green with "United States of America" on the sides, he explained that the president was not allowed to ride on them yet, so they were building time coast to coast. Every time they crank up, taxi out and take off, that's job security that I would not wish on anybody, having to clean dirt off every surface after the beaten air takes its revenge. Ten bucks to their morale fund for a challenge coin felt like small change after watching the dust flow around the airplanes...

Invest in some paint protection film after you have it repainted. No regrets paying for mine.
