    The pan lip around the head was packed solid scale rust. Had to chisel it away to get to them, and they certainly weren't 10mm anymore...

    Update: oil pan is off. Also fun fact, the lower pan does not clear the cross member and can not in fact come off the engine while in factory location.

    Here's the setup. Just have to find a way to attach to the engine safely and not lift the whole truck. That's a problem for later me though. Night folks!

    Loosen all the mounts. There should be some threads holes up near the head to run some bolts into. The factory uses hooks there that are removed after the engine is in place
