‘No damage, mint condition blah blah’ and sent photos at all the right angles. Drove to Rhode Island with a trailer to discover its completely neglected and absolutely destroyed (dropped on both sides, RTV jammed in the drain plug because its stripped and leaking oil, hadnt had any services done, front brake fluid was black and no brake which I discovered at the first stop light when it was to the grip and had to use the rear, torn seat, looked like itd been under the ocean with the amount of rust and oxidization on it, chunks missing from someone spooning the rear tire off, etc). Have seen twenty year old bikes less molested than this thing. I test rode it since I cant find one anywhere and left, fuck you very much. :cookiemonster: The hunt continues.

It’s a off road bike. It’s going to be beat to shit.
    Then they trade it in.
Then beat the new one to shit.
And they said it was mint?
Hope you left some unkind words to them.

I understand to a point. But to bullshit me and then wasting seven hours driving and the gas and trailer $, gimme a break. And ‘beat’ is an understatement. This thing was absolutely abused. Kid from Nantucket, rich mom and dad got it for him would be my first guess. All my years at the bike shop ive never seen a bike so young and so ruined.

Best advice I've heard is to ask for more photos and specify the viewing angles, even if they're mot the "right angles." (and no stock photos from the catalog, either.)

Catch me up wolfe…you’re on the hunt for a duck? Scrambler? Don’t know if I’d call it an off road bike…but sure. They’re everywhere here. I see them ridden daily, but now that you mention it maybe seldom for sale.

was there enough there that you confirmed your lust?

It’s a very specific bike she wants.
She’ll tell the story I’m sure.

Have only seen one in person on the road, theyre not common up here (or I dont get out much)
Been looking for a Desert Sled all year. Had a deposit on a new one since May at a local dealer which dragged out until recently when I canceled the order. It was ‘it’ll be two weeks’ for almost four months. Finally found one in person and the more I looked the worse it got, cant stand the gold rims and paint scheme. Was either a white 2020 or wait to see what the color is for next year. These are advertised by Ducati as ‘off roady’ but again, never seen one this bad.
Aside from its condition it still rode awesome (took it across someones lawn, sidewalk, dirt path.. handled great). Def want one so still looking.

    Also, morning boys
