Just laid down the last yard treatment of the year....fall/winterizer fertilizer. Flowers are all up in the front and some fall decor is out. It's usually November before the leaves really start dropping around here. So just regular mows until leaf mulching kicks in.

I moved a couple of the sunpatient baskets from the front to replace the vinca petunias that have been back there since May. They were passed their prime. The wife likes color in the backyard through the fall. So that should keep her happy until the 1st frost.

@Plain Jane Taco the yard is beautiful. Nicely done.

mine has been neglected this year. Those hours have gone towards the unexpected vintage bikes that have fallen in my lap.
On that note I scored a win today. Picked up a very rare bike a couple months back. 30 yr old bike, Only 19 ever came to this country and they don’t go on the market. So I scored. BUT, it was in the care of a shaved ape at some point and there are some issues to address
One quirky thing about Guzzi’s, the oil filter is inside the sump. The sump has, count ‘em, 18 bolts securing it, with a gasket between. It’s not unusual that a rookie breaks a bolt or strips the aluminum block. On a bike like this tho, you don’t expect to see that.
First time removing the sump and one bolt broke off with basically no effort. The others were way over tightened. There was also RTV everywhere which a Guzzisti will never do…so already I know the story that came with the bike isn’t accurate.

anyway because these bolts face the ground on the bottom of the sump, they’re a @$*^# to fix when there’s a problem. So, my day….

Feeling pretty good about it right about now I have to say.

Hell yeah. Snapped off bolts can be scary. Get decent shots of her when you get her back on her feet.

Been a challenge this year on the yard. It looks decent considering those challenges.
