It's still a hot mess, but those ugly big evergreens are gone.

Well, all the rod bearings are installed. The pans are back on, the engine is mounted back up, and it's drying for the night. Tomorrow it'll get oil, new plugs, new oil filter, and its first fire up.

Evenin' everyone. Just got back in town.

I think she's finally about max out. As I mentioned the other day....unless I intend to make drastic changes to my driving habits, which I'm not, I'd guess she's done. I'm also giving up a 10th or 2 with the 0w20 instead of 0w16. But that's just fine.

    I ain't complaining.

Anybody gotten a haircut recently? Went to my favorite barbershop and it's been awhile since I was there. It cost me $50 for a haircut and beard trim!

Woohoo! Success! No leaks, and no knocks! I can't believe dropping the pans in the truck, and doing just the rod bearings actually worked! Now here's hoping I don't undo that work when I take it to autocross October 8th.

Might want to go to a Euro 5w40 or 0w40 for those track days. Might save on those bearings...

It's got 5w30 in it now for initial break in/cheap test oil. I'm definitely stepping it up to a 5w40 from now on though.

I've had the same woman cutting my hair since I was 2. She was a teen at the time. Still charges me $10. I give her $20. I go every three weeks.

Back when Covid shut everything down in the spring of 2020 I started shaving my head. Haven't gone back. It's just convenient and costs nothing but a little extra shaving cream
