what's sad is completely forgot about those, until the pic, and of course immediately remembered fondly. How soon we forget.

Wing vents and manual windows. Wasn't so bad.

To add to that got into an accident in my ‘67 Corvair.. foreheads arent sufficient. 4 out of 10, would not recommend.

They got the check today, waiting on the car carrier which can take up to a week im told. If its anything like the experience I had with my Taco, I wont see it for a month. My 2 year old work chevy just shit out in my driveway so have to crawl under and beat the starter into submission (clicks but doesnt engage) if that doesnt work.. my employer can deal with it. Not my truck. Annnnd my bike is apart for a new front rotor so im on a roll here!

Sorry about the bike and the Chevy. But you decided to have it transported instead of driving it back?

Chevy isnt mine and its broken every other month anyways so not surprised. Luckily it shit out in my driveway rather than where I was working up at the Canadian border out of cell range yesterday.. id still be walking. Unless the Frenchies or black bears found me first..

32 hrs of driving and about $1k in expenses to pick it up, $600 to stay home and ship instead. Did military recon and got the back story from the original Toyota dealer who sold it and the dude off here verified the story I got as well as my husband calling pretending to be interested also. Not sure if I already went into it on here but 74 y/o that changes vehicles like underwear, non-smoking grocery-getter who traded for a Ram for 0% for 84 months.. they went so far as to give me the prior owner’s contact info to verify.

Trying to either talk myself into or out of a big audio build.

Pros: I haven’t rocked a stock audio system...ever. Always gone aftermarket. I know I can build something to put to shame what Toyota put in the truck.

Cons: Time, money, I’ll have to eject at a minimum the storage bin from behind the passenger side rear seat, maybe the under seat tray too depending on space. I actually carry stuff in their, so it’ll have to get moved to the toolbox.

Already have Infinity components in the front doors and coaxials in the rear. Plan is to run my JL four channel full active in the front doors and ditch the crossovers (120 watts each door) , get a small 2 channel to run the back doors (75 watts each door), and use a 500 watt mono amp left from my last build to drive an Image dynamics 8” or 10” sub in a sealed box (depends on available space). Run the whole thing with a Rockford Fosgste DSR1 processor off the factory deck.

I just need to either get it off my mind or pull the trigger and start yanking crap out and running the tape measure.

I remember being able to buy a Spark-O-Matic AM/FM cassette car radio with 2 speakers from Western Auto for $19.99 back in the day.
