    Blackies out in force.

    Slight wind which helped.

    Newbie at the boat launch.
    Always entertainment.
    Glad I wasn’t in a hurry..

    Found a new species.
Gave a hell of a fight.
All of them were like 8 feet long.

The big one was almost 12.
    I saved them all.
Going to try and make use of them.

So I decided to hang them in a garage and let them dry a bit.

Oh for a bit of information. It takes exactly 1127 pounds to touch the bump stops on a 2011 Tacoma. So between that, And the boat and the wood I had a nice little package. Never knew it was back there.DFEC7B8A-9ECF-4C3E-8A28-79CEDFEABAC9.jpg

Great mix in here. 1966 vintage.

well she’s about ready for the road. Gonna carpet and pad the sleeping deck and that outta be it.

Came close to grabbing a cherry softopper of TW recently, during that buildup I convinced myself I NEEDED one, so when it fell through I continued looking around, and found a NIB Bestop Supertop for truck locally here in Indy for less than half retail. I do believe I’d prefer the Softopper, but holy smokes what deal. And in my situation I believe this will be 4-5 months out of the year thing for me, so it outta work. Any buzz you may have heard about what a pain in the ass the windows are on these is absolutely true. But it really is well made and good materials, so considering the deal I got I’m over the moon about it.

also replaced the anemic stereo. Stunned to discover that there is an amp behind the jump seats??? Hard to imagine given that with the windows down you can barely hear it.

if I had known we had sound guys lurking I would have hit you up

    ended up with:
    Kenwood excelon DMX905S HU
    Kenwood KAC6047 amp
Unity components with Mr Marv baffles
    http://store.12velectronics.com/unity-u61-2v2-6-5-2-way-component-speaker-system/
    Sound Ordnance powered sub

major improvement. And definately acceptable but I think I’ll still put a proper sub in at a later date.
