One of my contractor friends renovated Jimmy's Down the Street (featured in an episode of Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives") last winter and while he was standing in the parking lot making a call, noticed a young man leaving a note on the windshield of his Gen1 Tacoma. He wanted to leave his contact info in the event that Tacoma was to be sold.
About a month ago, I had a similar encounter with the father who was moving one of his kids into a condo regarding the Gen2 I'm taking care of (likely for my kids). (Parents have been buying condominium apartments, and renting to their kids to help them get a start. Definitely would be responsible renters when mom and dad are their landlord.)

Gas or Diesel?

 

My son occasionally borrows my Tacoma. He works on the National Guard base in the IT field. One of the commanding officers parked beside my son and looked at my Tacoma. He was admiring the truck and asked my son if it was for sale. My son said it’s my dads and he’s probably not selling.

 

At one time I did buy a new Tacoma. Preferred the first gen.

 

Gas Sir..
Diesel Maint with the urea tanks etc is not something he’s willing to get involved with.

 

Figures, one vehicle in the whole parking lot and some yahoo pulls in and parks next to you.

Most people I know with the Duratechs buy the DEF removal kit.
