I still haven't gotten the snow blower out of the shed...

 

A couple flight delays later, and I still haven't left Florida. With luck assuming delta is correct about their estimates, I'll land in Maine at 12:30 am.

 

That's the exact look kids give me at the beach before asking their parents if I'm albino.

I just texted my boss letting him know I'm hoping just to be in the right state tomorrow, no guarantees about work.

 

My Alaska cohort, Philip Hunsicker (dot com, no spaces) put some of my quotes in his novel that was published this year. My favorite is toward the end of the book, which must have been after I returned to the chum & chinook salmon hatchery from my 2 months LWOP winter break in New Zealand, thinking that if I wanted to, 0.53USD=1.00NZD meant that i had enough saved to buy a 3BR home in NZ. I said, "Physically I'm here, but spiritually, I'm miles away."

At least you're better off than @Sig45 digging through five layers of carhart and coverall when working in the winter. Wouldn't be the first time I've heard from the woods "come out damn it!!"

 

I'm halfway there. My heat is set on 60° so I gotta wear longer underwear in the house...

 

60?! Damn that's only underwear weather for me. And that's only if there's guests...

Well, honestly it depends on the guest. Great for getting rid of that pesky mother-in-law!
