Thinking of taking the small red TRD on the lower door off, thoughts my friends?

 

Yes it did not rain today but 3 day total was 8.8 inches . I think we were in the same loop of rain with yall strange weather this year

 

I kinda dig red TRD emblems in general. So I might not be the one to ask if you're wanting a shove in the other direction

 

I vote to keep looks great to me

 

Definitely been weird. Usually this time of year were in the upper 70s to mid 80s and have the typical short lived strong spring storms. Not freezing night temps and ass loads of non stop rain.

 

Forecast is improving. Looks like normal temps her soon.

 

Good maybe we will get back to normal now

Well that ended poorly. I apparently have non-OEM steps on my truck despite being told the opposite. The steps are 4” ovals, new pads are probably for a 5” oval. So back in the box they go for a return hopefully.

Second problem, when popping one of the pads off I made an ugly discovery. The steps are both filled with water and heavily rusting from the inside out.

So, both steps bars came off the truck while I decide what to do. Not worth salvaging these with the rust and I’m about 90% ready to say to heck with it and not put steps back on at all.

 

Unfortunately most of them rust. I used to have some N-Fab steps. I took them off after 3 years and they had some rust on them here and there but were still solid. Sold them locally.

My husband took a walk-around for me (he lives 2.5 hrs from me and I had it delivered to his house). It's spotless and he said still has that Toyota plastic/glue smell from the factory inside. All the manuals were in the glove box, thankfully.
