Well, my work buddy Mark really didn’t do to bad of a job.
Had to bail him out only 3 times. One time for each color..
I’m getting pretty good at hiding mistakes. LOL…

    F3CA85E1-26DB-415D-8199-BE7C2D60CB87.jpg

So next week he’ll come back and lay the epoxy over it.
    That will be a trip…
I give him C+ so far..

20230128_133453[1].jpg Finally managed to pry the clock/flasher switch module out of the original double DIN radio (non-JBL system) panel, trim some molding flash out of the flasher switch opening, and snapped it into the Metra plate. Not much advice on removing that module from Haynes, Metra, and I thought about calling Crutchfield since their instructions just said to "pry in these places, slowly and carefully." Other advice was to "use a bunch of thin blade screwdrivers" the same way. -3 degrees outside my front door (2nd floor breezeway) this morning and usually in town I subtract 7 degrees for the local temp at ground level. When I left church about noon it was +10, so it may have been closer to zero at 0630... Monday morning, before leaving for school, I may try to connect the Crutchfield pre-wired Crux SWRTY-61S harness to Barcelona Red, then to the Sony MEX-N5300BT AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth single DIN radio (22 watts RMS/channel, 55w x 4ch max, 7db FM sensitivity), reconnect the battery, test, disconnect and button up the dash. I'm happy with Crutchfield: similar prices to Best Buy, but without the $199.year Geek Squad membership as Mr. Crutchfield set up his company to provide free lifetime tech support by phone, chat, and email. (Best Buy installers told me to go to Home Depot for hardware to install the 6x9 speakers I bought there, so I stopped at Aspen Sound, and said I was looking to buy the truss head screws to mount the speakers. The young (They all are after I turned fifty.) man at Aspen Sound gave me eight screws, no charge. They'll have my future business!) So I have a pair of Harman Infinity 6x9s to install on ********* spacers (milled from solid HDPE) with attenuation and angle adjustments on the tweeters. Still bloomin' cold in the 8-bay condo garage...
End of semester Friday teacher work day at school, so we thought I'd have the day off, but the custodian decided I should go in and run the electric walk-behind floor scrubber that night and begin using it on the upstairs and downstairs hallways once a week. Friday nights are good since Saturday is the one morning I can sleep in and get a good seven hours. There's always more to do... Y'all have a great week!

I had to trim the module opening on mine also. My PITA thing was the plastic radio mounts.
Took a month and another set of mounts and washers to get the radio to sit right.
I made my harness. I like my Panasonic radio. Of course after going on my fourth stock radio, $233.00
was much better than 3 grand out of pocket. Failure rate for these radios was almost 100% for a few years.. Replacements were not much better.

Kitchen remodel (for a customer, not me) starts today! I already did demo last week. Everything is crooked, out of plumb & level. Good times. I'll make it look great.

Planning on it. I'll add some laser level shots to really show how much the floor slopes.
