I keep trading vehicles so all my inspection schedules are all over the place. New truck is due in September. Might do it a month early just to get rid of that stupid emissions sticker! County I bought it in does emissions, whereas mine does not.

Just got home after spending 15 hours driving almost 900 miles round trip for no god damned reason compliments of my employer. Marvelous planning and scheduling on their end, as always.

Oh, I know it. Took forever to get from 16-18, but from 23-35 was a blur, and I still think I'm 35 even though that was years ago. :goingcrazy:

That's why I enjoy the best volunteer gig I've ever had, morning crossing guard for K-5 students. They're always happy and will announce, "It's my birthday!" I respond, "How old are you?" and with their answer I'll say, "That's huge!" Their parents and grands will agree that at that age one year is a huge fraction of their life, and at ours, it's much smaller. Enjoy the days, they're all good!
No Bad Days by John Gierach is one of many good reads by a fisherman who doesn't take himself too seriously. Dad and I have enjoyed his writing, books and I found him writing the end piece for Fly Rod & Reel magazine, which was bought out by Fly Fisherman magazine, and he wrote several feature articles before retiring.

John Gierach, all his books are great reads. Another great author, a local Michigan guy is Jim Harrison, Flyfishing, local UP history, a lot colorful characters, historical/ fictional.
