All is well had a few days break in the rain so boss wanted windows washed done cut grass done youngest grandson birthday done mom and pops grass cut done went to range done but keeping up on the stock world decks washed done my 12 sandwich ass done going to bed sleeping for a day
Hell what I use to do all day takes all day to do now

Did I hear that yous folks like pitchers....

Back from my weekend sprint. 2170 miles split between Friday and Monday, with Saturday and Sunday spent with my Mom and Daughter, whom I don't see often, and less due to this virus. Thankfully the New Hampshire weather was amazing.

Lucille handled the 1000 mile tow just fine, including the last 200 across the Vermont mountains.





Got there Friday evening and dropped it in the water. It passed a rigorous inspection by my grand Niece





That bucket held a 16" rainbow trout, caught earlier off that dock. It's a great spot.


Got to take my little girl and her beau to the nursery for housewarming plants, properly attired





back out to the pond so Mom could check out the new ride..


Followed by a sprint back home, this time on 80 across PA, more miles but less clock.

Lucille took it in stride. Holy crap @Plain Jane Taco, you weren't lyin' about the octane. I gave it one tank of 87 and she whined the whole time (higher RPM's to maintain speed under load) and barely more than 10 MPG, went back 93 and she thanked me with lots of giddy up, RPM's under 3k and 14MPG.

the new stereo has a couple nice features, appreciated when towing over a mountain in 85 degree heat, two different guage screens tied to OBDII





and the new topper made for a decent bedroom at the truck stop...




All in all a successful trip, and I'm pleased with the bits I added to the rig. Came home to a jungle that will take me the rest of the week to get a handle on.

She's ready for the next adventure.

 

ok ok, but in his defense, it is fascinating to me that there is Toyota branded literature out there that says some 4.0 Tacoma motors can run synthetic, and others can only run dino....that flies in the face of reason so you go to the experts!!

 

Except our buddy was flexing is smart ass'ness
