Just learned about this flip in the Pacific Northwest weather pattern. https://inlandnorthwestweather.blogspot.com/2023/05/strange-odd-weather-pattern.html Interesting as we've had abnormally high temps this May, alternating with cold and some truly impressive T-storm days. As a former seasonal field fish grunt (biologist/culturist/technician) in Idaho and Alaska, I've learned that: 1. Lightning can strike from 25 miles away. 2. The activity with the greatest risk of being struck by lightning is... golfing. That provides little comfort as I was running the aluminum cartop boat as we checked sturgeon research setlines and saw lightning upriver. Getting back to the bank fishing spot in a hurry, we sheltered under a piece of visqueen until the gully washer storm flowed the dirt past us into the river. Seven or eight years later, I felt like one of the subjects in Norman Rockwell's "American Gothic" painting, standing in a lake netting sockeye salmon brood stock for a hatchery remote egg take from a holding pen, when the entire crew watched a lightning bolt to the north and I turned around holding the steel framed net like the farmer's pitchfork, wearing chest waders. JC grinned and said that we probably ought to call it off for a while... JC was "God's gift to salmon aquaculture," and you didn't have to ask, he'd tell you.

Well, found an interesting item in the swamp behind my shed today. An entire wheel and tire. Still holding air! It was face down, and I only just saw the top edge of the tire through the grass. Can't believe I haven't tripped over it before.

Funnily enough, it's also an 18" and the right bolt pattern for the taco

What's the date code? Could you use it as a spare:fingerscrossed:

At the highway department I found tons of tires last year...

Found a spare tire that was like a year old way off the road. Didn't know why it was there o_O

I can use the wheel as a spare, but that tire is camber worn to hell. All the way down to the cords on one side and brand new on the other

    Not to bad.
Battery started going south and we started to get a skip.
So new battery and decided to change the rev limiting rotor button.
Go through the car, change gear oil.
And we will be ready to go.

    Oh big news.
The Avon plant is closed apparently. Can’t get our tires for the races right now.
So, now we have to run Hoosiers..
    And guess what that means….
    A whole new setup..
