And I'm going to play plumber today as well. My kitchen sink started leaking again, I'm done dealing with it. Going to buy a 10 in deep single basin one.

 

A couple of 5gal pail’s work too.

 

If I was upta camp like mark is... yes. Not for the daily driver house though.

 

Just visited pops today and brought him a couple of corvair coasters.

Went paroozing through the barn and found an absolute motherload of solid old growth mahogany and maple pieces hes rescued from the dump over the years. “Take it all, I just saved it because its hardwood” SCORE! Thanks dad!

Already been at work for nearly 10 hours. 2 to go. Then I'm not doing crap.

 

Got this far into my new sink install last night. Didn't have the right fittings to get the drain hooked up, so I'll get the fittings after work today to finish it up. If this one leaks I'm calling a plumber and never touching it again.

 

Braver than I. I'd rather take a beating than do plumbing. Unless it's for a hot 30 something across town who wants her pipes checked. That plumbing I'd do.

I grew up with my dad saying the small one in the family gets to do the under sink work. I'm an only child so you can guess who that was. We have no idea why, but the double basin sink that came with the house, one side just won't stay sealed at the drain. I couldn't find any signs of dents or out of round, but by hell and high water after five times re-sealing and replacing the basket/strainer assembly it would always start leaking after a few months. I finally said "fuck it" and replaced the sink
