Yep, guess I'm changing out packings tomorrow. And if that doesn't work... sharkbites, pex, and swearing.

Coworker called out pretending to be sick this morning when we have a contractor up that hes supposed to be working with. He took a half day Monday because his ‘family is up all week’. First nice day, all of a sudden out sick. Dipshit if youre going to play hookie, stfu about your personal life.

I know it's not Tacoma related, but sometimes you just have to appreciate somebody who manages to break something in a new way. We momentarily paused work in the shop when this came in, to show everybody and explain why you don't do what this guy did. On the left in this photo, is his PTO (or what's left of it) and on the right is the new housing we're swapping the guts into.

His mechanic tried to install the pto with the 100lb pump still attached, and also didn't take off the shift cover to make sure the gears in the transmission were aligned. Then he just tried to send a bolt home and tighten it up. Clearly that didn't go well...

It aint bad when everyone does their job but we essentially have a tricycle with a flat tire. Dudes late every single morning and calls out with constant bs (migraine, throat, tummy ache, etc.) So you’d have been just fine.

100% accurate! when "wheeling" my Hyundai Santa Fe, I found a rock at the bottom of a big water hole smacked my fuel tank and snapped off the return line at the fuel pump. after coming out of the water I could smell gas and instantly got a radio call that I was pouring something on the ground. Pulled the cover off and the nipple was missing from my fuel pump a few moments of thinking about it and some expert skills later a ball of JB weld was being worked together and I took the nipple from my window washer hose got it shaved down enough to fit into the fuel pump top let it all harden up. got home and drove the thing a couple more weeks while the fuel pump came in. I keep a tube of the quick mix, and steel stick in all my tool kits and bags now.

Water shutoff has been "repacked" in a very loose sense. It's not leaking, that's all I care. I'll check on it probably once or twice a week for the next month or two just to make sure.

Got the title for my bike. :bananadance:

..but have to call the state to fix it tomorrow because the town office put current mileage on the title paperwork a month after I bought it rather than what was on the bill of sale from purchase so it says 460 miles on the title instead of 2. Makes it look like a thrashed demo. No bueno.
