Mrs. SpruceMica and I just got home from a great day at the race track seeing @Tacoma Mike and his lovely wife Carol.
Mike's team ran super well.

 

Evening all you Stock stockers.
Had quite the day today trying to get a handle on a car that refused to take me seriously.
Bob drive his butt off while I finally got it sorted out.
Carol had the pleasure of meeting Mr and Mrs CtSpruceMica today while they checked out the festivities and cheer us on.
They got a chance to see how a bad race car can go to a great car with a stubby screwdriver and an Allen wrench.
Showed them a little tire temp reading.
We got a 4th and a 3rd against cars that outclassed us with downforce and slicks.
Going to make a few adjustments tomorrow and see if we can improve our times some more.

FYI this reading is from across the garage. Not 10 feet.

 

I really appreciate working at a shop that lets me use the equipment on weekends. Wiring fixed, exhaust fixed (ish) and about to put it all back together. Hands down the easiest way to pull a bed right here.

 

Evening stock stocks.

We didn’t race this morning because of heavy rain, but we absolutely killed it in the extended afternoon race. Had a fantastic race through the field with a Chevron B16. The Chevron ended up 9 sec in the lead as we followed him. Once in the clear, unbelievable driving by Bob set a pace that I couldn’t believe.
He made up one second a lap for the next 7 laps. And this was against a car with lots of down force and slicks. He ended up second. It was the most beautiful thing to see. So very proud of his effort with this finish.
So friggin stoked after all the changes I made during the weekend.
One of my best weekends sorting out a car ever..



He couldn’t get through this corner without kicking out the ass end.
As you can see he is hooked.

A fantastic result. I saw on VRG results that you didn't run in the a.m. Thought it had to be the rain, it poured at our house around 7:00. Tremendous run by Bob, that Chevron is super quick.
