    Morning
    H.H.H. today.
    Please be careful.
    Going to putts around in the garage soon and then hibernate.
    @Sig45
    @FlyingWolfe

    You two knuckleheads stay smart and be careful…

    Many years ago we had a heat wave here. The prev owner of the shop (my friend now) took my
    advise and for two days we started at 5am and quit at noon.
    Customers supported (for the most part) us and some showed up at 5. We had plenty of work anyway but it was nice seeing people help us out. Now, they would want everything for free for their inconvenience..

    70° at 5:00 a.m., it's gonna be miserable today.

    Dropping my truck off at the dealer at 7:00, either my A/C clutch or compressor has decided to take a permanent vacation. First repair in 9 years and 54K miles so can't complain.

    Permanent vacation, I like the one. Gonna save it for future use!

    My first Tacoma made it well known when the A/C clutch was done, it spun off the pulley at 60 mph going down the road and sent sparks flying in my rear view as it fucked off into the night.

    Crushed it! Wrapped up all of the decking and got post sleeves, collars and caps installed. Ready for railings tomorrow & Friday. Was done by noon and worked mostly in the shade.

    20230905_142122[1].jpgAs advised, be a liberal with application of penetrating oil and gently as possible working the old hardware. One crack of the nut , spray, tighten, repeat on the rest, and all eight nuts came loose. Replaced three with new studs from the LCE kit and used all eight new locking nuts (13mm vs. OEM 12mm, same stud size). The old header was out before noon, and things were back together well enough to drive to work by 5:30 p.m. (and I had time to make a quick sandwich). Equal length primaries sound great, with each cylinder getting the same amount of time and larger space to evacuate the exhaust pulses. Home from the first day as night custodian about 11, so it's a late morning today (sore after leaning over the right fender for a day and a half, but that's just my diagnosis, so I'll heal myself. It runs! :dancingbacon::cheers:

    LCE rates it a 10% increase in horsepower, so if it's 159 or 164m that puts it at 175-180. Equal length primaries and 40% larger cross-section makes the exhaust notes equal for each cylinder, a smoother sound, and it felt smoother driving that first ten mile round trip. I looked for LC's 2TR cat-back exhaust online and could not find it, but had an email today that it is in stock. Their online catalog has kicked it out for some reason, so I'll probably call and order it. Might as well... :spending:

    I haven't out loud laughed this quickly/hard since the last time my buddy zapped himself working on his Ford Focus. I'd love to know what flux capacitor this guy installed to get this mileage.

    Jesus, sleeping the day away.
    Just got up
    I’m sorry, I’ll do better next time…

    First day of league bowling.
    Should Be interesting as they are trying to turn it into a mixed league at this time of day.
    I’ll expect these crotchety old biddies to look me over extremely close to see if I should be allowed in their presents.
    Really didn’t want to do it like this but, no senior men’s league durning the day.
    My sweetie is bowling also. Pretty sure we will be on the same team with another guy rehabbing his
    shoulder. Don’t want to upset the clicks…

    Be safe everyone
    Another hot one in store..
