    Not to bad actually.
About 40 pins under my new average which is where I want to be for this week and next.
So I’ll have to duplicate next time.
I want to get that lower average when they plug it in. Was doing a lot of single pin conversions which
I was pleased with. More practice per say than pin count.
It was funny as I have the slowest team, I was the last bowler on the lanes and had like 30 people watching me when I turned around. Just like I remember..
    So I threw double spares..
Carol did pretty good too but was not on average. She was hitting her pins and that’s all you can ask.

We will see how this progresses.

    It’s alive..

Have set the belt tension and flip the skids and I think it’s ready. I usually raise the gov rpm up like 200rpm but I think I’ll leave it be…
After the first storm I’ll snow test it and then get rid of it.

Today seemed way hotter/more humid than previous days this week. Ugh. Wrapped up up at 1:30.

    Looks good.
Like you almost knew what you were doing..

That dark board looks out of place IMO though.

It was a dry piece of PT. It'll all blend together in the coming weeks as everything else dries

    @Sig45
Any reason they didn't go with composite decking other than the cost?

Cost. I wouldn't have taken the job if it was composite. I despise that stuff for many reasons. I recommended Western Red Cedar (my preference), but they decided on PT.

What's wrong with composite? I like the idea of not having to paint or stain it.

It's plastic, it's got a thin veneer that can crack if something drops on it or something like a chair leaning back, it's too hot to walk on in summer, it's not maintenance free. Requires regular cleaning

Oh, and it clogs tools. The shavings block the dust ports.

Odd. The stuff I've seen (neighbor has it) doesn't have a veneer. It's just a molded plastic board. The too hot bit I could see, though, our wood deck got too hot before we put a roof over it. How hard is it to clean it? Hose it off, or need to scrub it with a brush? Is it more maintenance than cleaning and maintaining wood?

Not trying to argue. Legitimate questions because I know nothing beyond limited experience on my neighbor's porch.

It all has a veneer to give it that wood grain appearance. The interior is glue, sawdust, plastic all mashed together....who knows.

The wood grain texture captures dirt. If it's maintained on a regular basis, probably a mild cleaner and hose will do it. I've had to use stronger cleaners and a pressure washer to remove years worth of grime. If it's in the shade, it's prone to mold build up too.

Wood is smooth and doesn't trap dirt, water and grime. Both require different maintenance.

Welp I can say with 100% certainty that i’d rather hurl myself off of a building (which im conveniently located atop) head-first than ever work as a roofer so theres that.
I parried the shit out of a wasp with my pry bar, highlight of the day. Very satisfying *tink* noise and watching it keel over on the metal roofing.

Just wait until you fall off the roof. That's when you can say you've really done roofing... I've really done roofing. Would not recommend.:anonymous:

We have a huge dad-made 4’ platform at the edge of the roof to fall on but otherwise we harness up. Been there, the ground hurts.
