Stockers, more winter prep today

 

I’m pretty impressed with it. That’s a KTM Duke 690 in the photo. Only 425#. Put a couple hundred miles on with my 575# GRiSO, highway speeds. Worked like a charm. 600# max bike weight, so it’s not for everyone

 

I think my only complaint would be the tire wear if you had to go any long distance. But for retrieving a broken down bike or just going a little distance seems nice.

 

no braking or cornering and only a fraction of the weight of the bike. I can't see it having much of an impact. You figure a front tire, handling 90% of the braking for a 800 machine moving a tremendous speeds lasts 10K miles or more....rolling with zero resistance while supporting 200-300 pounds for a couple hundred miles now and then...I know a couple of guys who have done 2-3000 mile trips with them, so far nothing but glowing reviews. That day was the first time I did more than an across town run like you're suggesting, and I was really pleasantly surprised. No sense of it being there.

Attached Garage?

 

Raised ranch so doors on end of house. Little buckling of inside panel but nothing visible on exterior or operation <whew>

 

Another reason I didn’t want an attached garage or side door on front part of it. I have to open the garage door to walk in. Then I Know it’s open..
Gives me the heebie jeebies to start my vehicle when I walk in from the side door.
I very rarely do it..
