I think H for a stock NC and previous years? I may be wrong on that since I haven't raced a stock one yet

edit: For some reason I didn't think to take the photo with it off the jack, must've been in a rush or something

They really are something special. Beautiful dog!

Thanks all ya'll for the kind words and indulging my over-sentimentality. Gonna be odd for a while, but this is how things go.

Man they are fun cars. When i was home a couple weeks back, we took my BIL's Miata, same generation as your dads (I'm not a 'miata guy' so I don't know if there is shorthand on the different models?) His is very tired. 160K on the odo. AT. Still, with the top down and a 4 hr back road cruise. really enjoyed it.

if they could figure out a way to give just a little more room in the boot...

I looked at buying one years ago, took an acoustic guitar with me to test drive it, as I was playing several nights a week in those days. Couldn't fit it in the trunk so I didn't buy the car.

Automatic you say... if he's interested in selling the "tired" Miata someday, let me know. My wife said she would drive/race an automatic one. I've had very little luck convincing her to learn manual, amongst other things.

Mornin, coffee, leaving on a jet plane to hit Florida and then leave on a cruise for a week tomorrow. I may store/work on the Miata, but I get my pops back by having him house sit/dog sit when we travel. :D

We scored a free upgrade to first class because of my wife's frequent flyer status. Boy I enjoy flying suddenly!

Wife and I are off to the port. Explored coconut grove here in Miami this morning. Too busy for my liking, but interesting nonetheless. Have a good week stockers, I'll check back in sometime.

    Mmmmmm
Pulled from the archives of life.

Back in the late 70’s a Chrysler 318 came in running rough.
For some reason a lifter decided to disassemble itself.
    IMG_7380.jpg

So took a chance and got the pieces out of the bore and galley without pulling the intake.
Installed a couple of lifters and new pushrods and a vac gasket and “hit the road jack”.
Cust was thrilled and bought me dinner.

Became a customer for many years.

A respected job that time has forgotten and replaced with lies, thievery, and guesswork.
    Glad my time is done…..

Sad that "mechanic" has become the same kind of spurned and distrusted profession that "lawyer" once was. Dishonest folks ruin it for the good ones.
