Good old Cozumel. Dear lord do I have some stories from that place. My hands-down favorite: Standing guard with my GM2 on the flight deck of the cutter during a port call there with our M16s, grumpily sweating our asses off in full uniform, and having a few drunken cruise ship chicks stroll by and flashing their tig ol’ bitties at us for no particular reason as we had to stand there stone faced. Didnt have any beads for them, unfortunately. Good times.

Trolls a bit fast, and they sorta frown on people running downrigger cannonballs from the upper decks. Body work is expensive to repair those dents in the hull. Reminds me of watching cruise ships jockeying for dock space in Juneau...20231119_160355[1].jpgOne of my year-old grandsons got into this black lab while visiting last weekend as we enjoyed a family (early Thanksgiving) dinner. He has a Belgian Malinois at home and a young blue heeler/German shepherd cross. I enjoyed my (borrowed) time relaxing with this road dog.

Visitied the Tulum ruins in 2007. There was no one there (ok..a couple dozen people?). At the time I just thought it was such an off the beaten path no one had heard of. From What I hear now it's pretty well known. I was blown away. Very jealous! Enjoy

This is my photo from that day...

Speaking of high & tight (USMC reference). Did a final mow on 2nd to lowest setting. Serviced (oil, air filter and plug) the mower (ran it dry and added some ethanol free gas). Swapped positions with snowblower. That fired right up and is GTG for when the snow flies. Swept the garage too.

Oh - and blew out all the fall debris from the gutters.

When we redid our main bath and took out the one piece fiberglass tub/shower there was a length of romex just hanging in the wall...and it was LIVE

I'm jealous, it was quite busy during our visit and they had a lot of sections blocked off for restoration/excavation work. It's had a lot of new roads/walkways put in and still in the process of being expanded. Lots of iguanas and birds wherever you looked. Once I get some decent service I'll post a pic.

When I bought mine, the panel was a fire waiting to happen. 60 amp box with sub panel fed by jumpers. mix master of wrong gauge , breakers and glass fuses.
My late father was a 50yr electrician. we basically got rid of the issues and put in a 200 amp box and a sub panel for genny use.
