    Good evening, stockers!

I did an oil change on Saturday and was shocked when I saw the date/mileage info on the filter that I removed. ( I always write that info w/ a silver sharpie on the bottom of the filter) I had posted the pic in the pre-geriatric thread ;) and was hoping that I just brain farted and wrote the wrong year on the filter. I did some driving estimation maths today and realized that the date is probably right...

2 years and 25K since the last oil change. I feel like a big dummy! I am going to borrow a oil filter opener and unfold the cleats to look for shiny bits, just for some piece of mind but I think that I'm ok. I never heard any weird engine noises or anything like that.

Meh, 0w20 is synthetic so while not optimal it isn't going to hurt this one time.

Not sure if you Maine'ers are gonna get hit, but it looks like we're in for our first storm. Could be up to 11". That's nothing to you all, but we typically get 3"-6" at a time. Got the blower out of the shed, gassed it up, let it run a little bit, and tucked it in the garage.

I'm hoping I scare it off by getting the blower ready

I even dug out my insulated coveralls just for the occasion...

Now to find something to throw at the PennDot plow truck (if they even come out) when they plow my driveway shut again...

Note: I will NOT do that!

I use to fuck with asshole customers when I could.
I had a drawer full of markers and when they would mark the oil filter and drain plugs I would put the marks back on the new filters and drain plugs/gaskets. Customers would say I didn’t change the filter and come out and show them the old filter with the marks. Then they would ask why I would do that and i said “Those marks must have been important so I wanted to make sure it was exactly like it was when it came in so I put them on for you… lol
One time I actually wrote on the filter “yes, I changed your oil filter”.

Haven't needed one yet. This would be the first decent snowfall at the new place where the State plows it rather than the town.

Oh, I just remembered an actual 'nother Tacoma question. It sure would be nice if my ignition switch lit up. It's often hard to find the hole, even with the lights on. :boink: Solutions? Can I replace the switch with a lighted one? If so, will I have to change the key? Just how clueless am I? (You don't have to answer that last one, my wife has it covered.)

I was thinking of something similar, however, never got to play with an idea I had.

If some did that while I was plowing city streets for the contractor 2 years ago I would have buried the driveway and any cars out front

One guy stood out in the street and played chicken with me cuz he didn't want me to plow in his drive that he just got done shoveling. Went by and was nice. After he left I completely buried his driveway entrance to get the last laugh :D

    How hard can it be.
You stick it in all the way and pull it out and make sure it’s ok.
If you can’t tell, do it again..
    Eventually you will be happy.
