Been out of the loop for a few days, what did I miss?

Flew from Boston to Chicago Saturday morning with a friend to pick up his new to him truck. Drove back straight thru, 950 miles in 17.5 hours. Google maps was hilarious: "merge onto I-90 East, continue 918 miles"

Half the rats nest has been landed. Cant install the three 5ft tall panels to land the home runs for the lights because the carpenters are dragging ass finishing that wall (need foam board, spray foam, and backer board installed, not on us otherwise id have had it done by now..)

Here in fuck this shit land, I'm about to get my roof replaced Thursday/Friday. But in the mean time while sitting on the crapper today I discovered part of the ceiling sagging above my head. A little investigative poking later, and voila! Black mold! Most likely related to the roof damage from December... *facedesk*

I'm about to the point of moving out of the bathroom and into the guest bath, then nearly gutting the bathroom. We're already planning on completely replacing the ceiling in the master bedroom, now it's just expanding to the bathroom as well. Did I mention that somehow my bathroom sink developed a crack in it right above the overflow drain? Because that happened. So we've been talking about taking out the single vanity and putting in a double anyways. Why not a new shower while I'm at it? Seems like the next logical step...

And the insurance won’t help? I’d call then again..

 

I called and left a voicemail with my adjuster yesterday. We'll find out today how they want to proceed. The amount they're paying out is just enough to cover the entire roof replacement, but that same amount is also paying out the water damage to my bedroom. They didn't value the roof at the full price of replacement since they said it was 10 years old. Which is a blessing itself since the roof is actually closer to 20-25, so I'm not going to kick up any fuss about that.
