Yup. The insurance is just a $100/yr more than the Green Bean. Both are very reasonable.

I'm hoping to make it home on 3 tanks (with the 38 gallon). I am making a side trip to Pensacola for 2 days. I went to college there and still have a few friends there.

Depends on your driving style. Even with a mile lift, bigger tires, and weight added I was at or beating the EPA estimates. Biggest thing you can do for MPGs is don't go over 65. Set the cruise, get behind a semi, and enjoy a leisurely drive. The DTE computer for me wound up getting pretty accurate at around 450-475 miles per tank. That included all the towing and idle time and such.

In my youth I would have been driving balls to the wall and done the trip non stop. I hover around the speed limit now. Be interesting to see the mpgs.

Keep in mind, the dash won't calculate correctly for your current driving on the DTE. It's based off the previous averages. When you stop the truck and shut it off, before you open the door, there will be the pop up in the cluster that will summarize your MPG. That is usually pretty accurate.

Hubs and I pushed through a 24h drive down to Groveland FL with the Tundra back in 2020, switching off when we filled up. We each drove two 6 hour shifts. That 36gal tank goes forever, even with the 5500# camper in tow. Sucked.
