    That 1:6:90 info is a good read, always difficult getting into new/ different technologies. Besides the fact I hate buying new cars, I buy a hybrid gas will be $2,I buy a gas hog gas will be $5
    :annoyed:

    That's a nice looking bike Mike! I like the bars as well. So you lost the stand offs and went with the mini apes....what's the net gain? 2" - 3"?

    That feet forward position doesn't give your lower back trouble?

    on my 'cruiser', I had to put highway pegs on it to have that position. I liked having the option to put my feet up their on high mileage days, but I wouldn't leave them for long. Too much hammering on the lower back. Now I just have footboards and rear pegs, gives me enough options for movement.

    DGR 2015. When I had std pegs and highway pegs. Bike has changed a bit since then. Half the fun of owning 'em is messing with 'em

    Gained about 3 1/2”. Mid pegs and I have my knees under my chin.
    No problems with the back position. The higher bars will sit me up a little more.

    To me the mileage seems a little high so it must have been a commute vehicle and used prices are “bend over” expensive. The only thing I would do is get a check over somewhere. They ride nice, nicer than Tacoma’s, so have fun.

    @kidsmoke

    My riding position is really not that far forward. I’m not stretched out. When I’m alone and I run down the highway, i contour into the seat and I’m like suspended…

    She doesn’t like 70+. She gets the fidgets around other cars. It’s technically a small bike (for a Harley)
    but, it’s quick and nimble and has helped me on many occasions… It’s not a comfortable bike for Carol
    as the vibes bother her along with the small seat. I do have footboards which helped her some. Been trying to find a wide seat for her but might have to make one.

    Not at this house. To much furniture to move around/shuffle. Biggest I've used is a 14".

    @Tacoma Mike

    The two up thing is tough. I'm not a bagger guy, with big rear seats and arm rests. She's not one to go that often, so how far down that modification road do you go?

    She likes the red bike for two up, which is the only reason I keep it to be honest. I like my '79 for that kind of riding. Soooooooo smooth and easy and will carry tons of gear, but she says it doesn't work for her.

    Just means I need multiple bikes to meet all the needs. I try. honest, I do.

    Not as much room for, um, another person.

    (you can really see that hideously ugly motor in this one, Mike)

    We don’t go that far. 25/30 miles.
    We use to ride a lot farther 30 years ago.

    Going to put a 1/4” pad on her steps.
    I’ve been thinking of another seat assembly.
    Take this one and run it solo and then swap when she goes. Takes like 30 seconds.
    One screw…
    Problem is the ones I like have no info for my Sportster..
    Just keep looking..

    Progress! Was able to get all the prep and ceiling repairs done yesterday. Sanded everything this am. Water damage from a backed up ice dam last winter. Someone used ski poles to make holes in the ceiling to drain the water. You can also see all the shit I have to work around.

    Entry/Kitchen and DR ceilings done. I had the entire kitchen covered in plastic. Entry, Kitchen and DR accent walls done. LR ceiling and walls are all that remains. Thought I would wrap up Thu, but if I bust my ars tomorrow, I can wrap it up. All remaining walls are white...so easy. I'll probably stay through Thu anyway. There's a cool ski mountain bar that has great food and open mich night on Thursday. I know the guy who plays the drums. I'll go check it out.

    That's ironic- when using Caredge.com to look at 'runner's, get a few hits usually around that mileage/price. I'm hoping to find something with around 100K on it. I need a non-sunroof rig, and I'd prefer a model with the t-case lever so it will remind of my faithful 3rd gen T4R.
