It’s kinda funny, I have a change jar. Never really dip into it. They closed the local.25 car wash in town. I now go to the next town, they have a really nice one. Cleaned the quarters out of the jar, been 3 times so far and still have enough for 2 more trips. Now it’s driveway season for washing, hoarding all the quarters for the fall.

Today’s agenda: Picking up the new mower, mow said lawn, possibly grade the road, and heading to a buddys house to get a parts list together for wiring in his basement
I ended up stuck in those little shitbox LLVs so many times I cant even count. Love that the front and rear wheels arent the same width so the rears dont even track in the snow and you slide all over the fn place in the winter. Truly an engineering marvel.

Bought a new Ego mower yesterday ($150 off, couldnt pass it up) and mowed the yard, transplanted a 6’ lilac bush, did some piddling in the garage, played with the chickens, and went to dads to scope a hookup for a portable generator for him. He has 1950s fuses all over. Shitshow, but fixable.

The ‘buddy’ I was supposed to quote fuckin stood me up yesterday. Sent a text at 8pm “oh sorry, we went to Wells then decided to have a ‘family day’ up in Freeport”. While I sat around the afternoon expecting him to let me know when he got back rather than saying he was busy so I could go do other stuff. Zero tolerance policy with flaking-out customers. He can find someone else to wire his basement for him, all set.

I feel like the front bumper blends in now, so that might have to get the same treatment.

made it in one piece. Pouring rain all. day.

phone was killed in the process. this is from my laptop in the hotel.

Only got one safe arrival shot on the work phone. Had to shorten the trip due to weather. standing water and high winds. Slabbed it the last 90 min rather than the BRP. Bummed. On the other hand, I'm alive.

Well, the beatings continue until morale improves... getting on the highway with the wife's rav4 and this popped up. Coolant bypass on the back of the engine is made out of plastic and is very common to crack, leading to coolant shorting out the connection. I pulled the plug off the connector and sure enough, full of coolant. Hopefully the dealership has that part in stock tomorrow so I can get it fixed in time to drive it to Boston and back Tuesday.

IIRC there is a aluminmamum aftermarket I caught wind of. Didn’t research it but it’s ICYDN..
