I wouldn't say ahead, I've been dragging out a clutch swap on the 75 for a couple of years now, and haven't touched the 500 in so long I can't remember why the PO parked it in the first place.
The Fj60 was a field find, but has been my main project the last few years. It has gone well though, I've been daily driving for the last 2 years and even drove it to Moab at Christmas.20210925_155718.jpg received_329928509917559.jpg

Seems like it has rained every day, at least a little, and mostly a lot here in TN this spring. Everything is wet, and a pretty big hickory tree fell in my yard yesterday...PXL_20240604_232410699.jpg

I got a leaner in my little patch of woods. Oak, had a warm winter, a lot of snow laid on it , with the wind. It’s leaning on another tree for now, eventually it will come down. It’s the dark one in the background.:annoyed:

Well I can tell you I didn't exactly feel the hospitality carpet was laid for me this past weekend. Completely, I mean, completely water logged. Every. Thing.

    Beautiful as can be though.

I've been on trips out West from TN, and got rained on for the first 10 hours, then dried out again by the time I made it to Denver, lol. Those were long days, and then the days spent riding around the Rockies were gone in a flash before I had to turn back east for the long slog home....

We just got hammered here in central Maine, up to 1" of hail accumulation in places. I discovered the tundra will fit in the garage even with the workbench in the way... just barely.

How did we manage without back up cameras?? Oh wait...YOU wouldn't know!! There was a time you just had to 'kiss' everything to find your edges.

Keep an eye on those Fiskars...I had the same and my opinion of them is, and shall forever remain, very poor.

I grew up learning the braille method don't you worry. I even know how to use that reflective thing hanging from my windshield!

The fiskars are strictly for snowmobile trail ops, so they don't see any use that isn't bad for them  it's the third pair I've had, but when they bounce out on a trail and get run over... cheap works.

My Uncle Bob, Mom's oldest brother, stayed on the English side of the channel that day. His job was to clean out the returing Higgins Boats (pictured) of body parts and blood so the boarding soldiers wouldn't be confronted with their fate. Needless to say, Bob carried that the rest of his days. Don't think I ever heard him speak what you or I would consider a full sentence. Rarely looked up from the ground. War sucks. He was one of 4 of my Mom's siblings who served in WWII. Lots of stories, but that's the only one for today. War is Hell. Thanks to anyone who has worn the uniform.
