He's driving an old car. When he begins college a year from now I want him to have a newer car with more features. I'll feel better when he makes trips to and from school. He's worked his ass off and I feel like he's earned it. We did something similar with my oldest kid. It's certainly something that wasn't even on the radar when I was a young person. So I don't mind giving them a stepping stone or two in life so they can build on it. They both work really hard. I'm proud of them. Giving them some reliable transportation is one less thing for them to fret about as they blaze their own path in life.

I wonder what a cream puff '23 Turd gen will be worth in the spring? Might have to see.

    :D

We did the same car thing.
    Just bustin ya.
We had the car since new.
    Gave it to my boy
    He bought another vehicle.
Stripped the old car and raced it in a demo derby.
Fitting end to a great car..

    Morning
Out to breakfast, then grocery shopping.
Stopping to pick up “environmental friendly RVer antifreeze “ to
pickle the boat. Needs to be done to make room for a project.
Supposedly new gen is on the way.
    Can’t track it…
    Maybe it will update today.

It's legal in so many states now, I turn a blind eye. Carry on!

:hattip:Morning, big doings this weekend, Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival is this weekend, starts today. One of the wineries brews beer and a lot of beer. Seems the church wine doesn’t sell as well as the beer o_O I’m in for the car show, nothing beats walking down Main Street with a cold beer and looking at cool cars

Just ordered 4 of the new Cooper Discoverer Road & Trail AT tires. 265/75/16 SL.

Will schedule installation soon. Also having those clean 3rd Gen TRD OR front coil assemblies installed at the same time.

Should be good to go for the remaining years I'll be running the GB.

I've fallen for Sumbitch the same way. I'm so impressed that a car it's size consistently gets 44MPG with out any conscious "hypermiling" driving techniques. I literally "drove it like I stole it" on my trip down to Seward and back; I mean sport mode thru the mountain passes and "alledgedly saw triple digits" on the speedo a couple times getting around trucks in the passing lane sections ... average for that tank was 43.8 MPG. In a car that, as a MooseMan, I don't feel stuffed into and uncomfortable. I'm a True Believer in this hybrid tech.

You're a great Dad, Bill. :fistbump:

All the "cream puff" ones have purple rock lights ... I heard. :notsure: :boink:

    Glad you're ... uh ... alive, Smoke.

    exactly

Dingus appears to have lost it recently and decided to pester me about it a year later. Like what the fuck do you want me to do about it, dude? Call the post office.

Thank buddy. I try. That's more than I can say for my father.

    Yeah....and mine isn't even a hybrid.

I think the only Turd gens that had purple rock lights from the factory were blue ones with manual transmissions. :notsure:
